Rex Carton Company is committed to minimizing our impact on the environment – to protect the planet, ensure resources are available for future generations and create a better quality of life for all living beings. We recognize that the way in which we operate has an impact on the environment and are committed to integrating sustainability best practices into our decision-making and business activities through:
We are an SFI (Sustainable Forestry Initiative) Certified Sourcing Standard company. This ensures that the raw product used in construction is acquired solely from responsibly managed and renewable sources.
Rex Carton uses water-based inks when printing onto corrugated packaging. This prevents the use of lead-based inks and petroleum-based solvents that contaminate the air and water when used to wash printing equipment between color changes.
We recycle 100% of our leftover materials through a state-of-the art trim collection system. By making use of modern recycling equipment, all of the scrap from each job is baled and recycled, helping to keep our facility and the environment clean.
Corrugated packages are a part of everyday life. Perhaps this is why the marvel of them is sometimes overlooked. Not only are corrugated products green for the environment, they are also good on budgets. They are widely used as a durable, yet lightweight form of packaging because they are environmentally responsible.
东森彩票导航According to the American Forest & Paper Association, the U.S. recovery rate of Old Corrugated Containers (OCC) rose to 92.9% in 2015. Over 51% of OCC recovered was used in the manufacturing of new containerboard. This increase has been attributed to the industry’s commitment to educate retailers, packagers and consumers on the benefits of recycling corrugated materials.
Also of note, is the fact that the forest products industry plants 1.7 million new trees every day, contributing to the long-term viability of North American forests, preserving wildlife habitats, sequestering carbon dioxide and offsetting greenhouse gas emissions. (SFI)
“The paper industry as a whole, along with containerboard and corrugated manufacturers have a long history of efforts focused on the sustainability of our raw materials, our products and our processes.”

“Today over 90 percent of all products in the U.S. are shipped in corrugated cardboard boxes. Encouragingly, 70 percent of all corrugated cardboard is recovered for recycling-making it the largest source of waste paper collected for recycling. This is due in part to the fact that many businesses, as well as homes, recycle cardboard.”
